History Lessons with Kazantzakis
Classes:
Duration:
90′
Nikos Kazantzakis lived through a turbulent historical period, marked by events that became milestones in both national and world history. Through the author’s biography and his novels, children explore what was happening during that time, focusing on the historical, literary, and social context—what Kazantzakis himself, in Report to Greco, described as a “history full of tears and wanderings.” Which of his works are connected with the historical events that afflicted Greece as well as the wider world?
Inspired by Kazantzakis’ novels and the information they discover in the Museum’s Permanent Exhibition, children create their own script and produce a podcast, delivering in turn their own “History Lessons with Kazantzakis.”
