Through our participation in this educational program, we realize that each person expresses himself in his own different and unique way. We discover the “good” arts and we understand the value of arts and free expression. Based on the Museum’s collection of artworks which are inspired by the life and work of Nikos Kazantzakis, we discuss the Cretan writer and we expand our knowledge concerning his work and his personality.
Goals
Children are asked to:
Get to know Nikos Kazantzakis.
Discover and investigate the author’s literary work.
Get to know the forms of art and recognize which forms of art are found inside Nikos Kazantzakis Museum.
Develop cooperation and teamwork skills.
Discover how to collect information from the exhibits of a Museum.
Learn to “read”, understand and enjoy a work of art.
Cultivate their critical thinking and their creative expression.
Better understand themselves, other people and, by extension, the world.
