The chest of Kazantzakis Museum

Memories come alive from an old chest in the Museum. Through them we get to know the founder of the Museum, Nikos Kazantzakis’ family and its relationship with Myrtia, the author’s ancestral village. We are inspired by his personal items, his family photos, his book Report to Greco and we leave something of ours in the Museum’s chest.
Goals
Children are encouraged to:
- Get to know Nikos Kazantzakis’ family.
- Get in touch with the past in which he lived and created.
- Get to know details of the way of life of a family in an earlier era through photographs.
- Outline a man’s personality through his personal objects.
- Develop their imagination and creativity.
