“The Great Wall of China is visible from the Moon…”

Classes:

Duration:

An educational activity for children with an autism spectrum disorder and their parents.

On the occasion of the celebration of the International Museum Day with the theme “Museums as cultural hubs: the future of tradition”, the Department of Educational Activities of Nikos Kazantzakis Museum (MNK), planned and implemented the educational activity “The Great Wall of China is visible from the Moon…” for children with autism and their parents, with free entry.

Children and parents had the opportunity to come into contact with Nikos Kazantzakis’ travel writings and get to know China’s culture through the author’s eyes. In the educational activity “The Great Wall of China is visible from the Moon…” we met turtles, princesses and ideograms; we unleashed our creativity and we got a first taste of the theme of Kazantzakis Museum’s 4th International Art & Literature Festival “Traveling… China”.
