We create and enliven scenes from Michalis Kakogiannis’ movie “Alexis Zorbas”, which is based on Nikos Kazantzakis’ book The Life and Times of Alexis Zorbas. We discover the work of the costume designer, the stage designer and the director. We study the Museum’s collections and we discover who finally was the Intellectual and who was the Dragon.
Goals
Children are asked to:
- Get to know Nikos Kazantzakis’ literary work.
- Get in touch with the heroes of his best-known novels.
- Understand the role and the importance of friendship in Nikos Kazantzakis’ work.
- Distinguish the work of the professionals involved in a theatrical performance.
- Activate their creativity and imagination.
- Come into contact with the film adaptation of an author’s book.
- Express themselves through acting.
- Develop cooperation within the group and as a whole.
