The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum at the 14th Children’s Festival of Agios Nikolaos

A two-day celebration of children and the arts!

The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum is delighted to participate for the first time in the 14th Children’s Festival of Agios Nikolaos, organized by the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos.

Join us on a literary journey with Nikos Kazantzakis, through replicas from the Museum’s Collections and the educational program “Travelling with Nikos Kazantzakis’ Suitcase”.

Kazantzakis will introduce us to his family, his friends, and the books he wrote about his life’s travels. Through his suitcase, we’ll explore aspects of his personality, handle replicas of his personal belongings, and discover the scents and memories of his childhood in Heraklion (known then as the Great Castle).
