“In the Footsteps of Nikos Kazantzakis: Educational Cultural Activities”

The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum participated in the E-Learning Seminar on Environmental Education, organized by the Environmental Education Center (KPE/KEPEA) of Archanes, entitled “Sustainable Tourism through Education for Sustainability.”

 

The Pedagogical Team of The Center for Environmental Education of Archanes (KPE Arxanon) within the framework of the “Tourism and Environment” network implemented a one-day remote seminar for teachers of Greece on the topic: “Educational tools in the activities of sustainable tourism” on Monday, March 27, 2023.

 

The aim of the seminar was to inform the teachers about the new educational tools that can be used in the implementation of school activity programs regarding issues related to sustainable tourism.

 

The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum thanks The Center for Environmental Education of Archanes for the invitation!

 

 

The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum successfully participated in the seminar with two announcements under the title: “On the Paths of Nikos Kazantzakis: Educational Activities in the Field of Culture”. The presentations on behalf of the Kazantzakis Museum begin after 1:23:51 in the above video.

 

More specifically, the Head of Education Department of the Museum and Museum Educator, Hara Vavadaki, presented the educational program “Reach what you cannot” which is implemented at the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum and focuses on raising awareness among students on issues of visual impairment and the actions that took place at the Museum and made it fully accessible for all categories of disabled people.

 

 

 

The Permanent Exhibition and Communication Manager of the Museum and Historian, Kostis Kanakis, in his presentation developed the initiatives taken by The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum in matters of sustainability and presented the future planning of the Museum for its complete green transformation and the development of activities and services in its field of sustainable tourism in the wider area of Myrtia (“Literary-Pedestrian Path “Nikos Kazantzakis”).
