The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum supports the initiative “No Child Without School Supplies” by the volunteer group A.T.A.X.T.O.I.
For the second consecutive year, the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum is proudly taking part in the initiative “No Child Without School Supplies”, supporting the important work of the volunteer group Α.Τ.Α.Χ.Τ.Ο.Ι.
Now in its 11th year, the initiative is organized in collaboration with the Association of Primary School Teachers of Heraklion “Dominikos Theotokopoulos” and the Association of Publishers and Booksellers of Heraklion, Crete. Its aim is to provide children of school and preschool age from socially vulnerable families across Heraklion prefecture with the necessary school supplies for the academic year 2025–2026. To date, more than 700 children have already benefited from this collective effort.
The Museum is collecting new and gently used school supplies in excellent condition, including backpacks, pencil cases, notebooks, sketch pads, pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, and books.
A special collection box has been placed at the Museum’s multipurpose hall in Myrtia.
In addition, visitors may support the initiative by purchasing school supplies with a 10% discount from the Museum Shop, either in person or by phone at +30 2810 741689.
