Educational tools in the activities of sustainable tourism” – Kazantzakis Museum’s participation
The Pedagogical Team of The Center for Environmental Education of Archanes (KPE Arxanon) within the framework of the “Tourism and Environment” network implemented a one-day remote seminar

The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum is located in the central square of the ancestral village of Nikos Kazantzakis, the historical Varvari (today’s Myrtia).
The Permanent Exhibition of the Museum is housed in a space, which was formed where the ancestral home of the Anemoyiannis family, a family related to Kapetan Michalis, the author’s father, was located.

The purpose of the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum is not only the preservation and exhibition of its collections but also the provision of a museum experience that combines education with entertainment, placing the visitor at the center of interest. Additionally, a fundamental goal of the Museum is to enhance its educational role.
To achieve this goal, the Educational Activities Department organizes a comprehensive program of activities aimed at different age groups (adults, children, teenagers, families, people with disabilities).
